A-Players is helping RallyBoard hire their next Software Engineer to accelerate product development and move beyond MVP into early adopter scale. RallyBoard is entering a growth phase and needs to increase engineering velocity, reduce tech debt, and ship features faster. This hire will work side-by-side with the founders and the first engineer to shape both the product and engineering culture.

RallyBoard is a community technology startup helping professional associations fight isolation and accelerate upskilling by connecting members into structured peer groups.
The founding team has deep experience building and scaling startups to $10M+ ARR, 100+ employees, and 200k+ users, with systems handling 8M+ requests/day.

What you’ll be doing
Full-stack development
Scaling our infrastructure, tools, and codebase for the next stage of growth
Working across disciplines — engineering, product, and even a bit of strategy (80% tactical / 20% strategic)
Collaborating directly with founders and our first engineer

What RallyBoard is looking for
Must-have
2-3+ years of professional software engineering experience
At least 1 year in a startup or fast-paced product environment
Strong across the stack: backend logic, APIs, and UI
Comfortable working independently with minimal process
Clear written English and strong async communication habits
Ability to bring structure into ambiguous environments
Technical baseline
Must-Haves: Expert in JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, web development
Nice-to-Haves: NextJS, React, Supabase/PostgreSQL, AI tools, distributed systems
